Thank you for your interest in applying to our school.

At ABS, we welcome everyone: people of every faith, of no faith and those who are still working it out.  Families here enjoy the warmth of community alongside academic rigour and life in all its fullness. We welcome up to 30 children in our reception class every year and anyone can apply for a place.

How Places Are Allocated

• Open Places: available to all children in the community, regardless of faith background
• Foundation Places: for families who regularly worship at a local church and wish to apply under our faith criteria.

It is rare for a family to specifically request a ‘church school’ place – in fact, none of the children in our current reception class applied in this way. Last year was the same. Everyone who applied for an Open Place was able to come.

Application Process

1. Open Place: apply online through the Local Authority (click the e-admissions link below)
2. Supplementary Information Form: only complete this form if you are specifically applying for a church school place. You also need to apply online through the Local Authority. If you are applying for an Open Place, you do not need to complete this form.

In-Year Admissions

Finally, if your child is attending a different school but you would like to apply for a place in any year group, please download and complete an In-Year Application Form.
